Just now in Japan waiting for my colleague to get in from Atlanta. Due to our friends in North Korea and the supposed missle launch, all the flights into Narita have been delayed by many hours. Our eating plans tonight are proabably severely imapcted but there are several izakaya around the hotel (the spectacular ANA InterContinental, one of my favorite homes away from home.)
Will post again as soon as we get downtown in a few hours.

Geez! That doesn’t sound all that good
Take care over there!

Sorry to hear about the delay, but best to use caution when N. Korea is involved.

I second Bob’s comments! Hopefully, the food will make up for the other “distractions.”

Okay, share. What is a izakaya? I gather it’s a restaurant of some type. Noodle shop? Five course?

Okay, I’m curious about what an izakaya is. Could you define it for me (us)?
